Down County Museum

Explore the history of County Down from earliest times to today at Down County Museum. Located in the restored buildings of the eighteenth century Gaol of Down, the museum’s permanent exhibition, Down Through Time, revelas the diverse history of the County. Packed full of fascinating objects, stories and interactive features it is a must for all the family.
Discover the history of the old Gaol and find out more about the lvies and times of the prisoners and gaolers. The museum also organises a host of great family events through the year. Guided tours available.
