The Murray’s musicians then play all your traditional Irish favourites late into
the night. Our 1916 Easter Rising show commemorates this momentous event
in Irish history. Traditional Seanachaí storytellers describe the events of Easter
Week, while performers in contemporary costume re-enact key moments in
the conflict. Backed by traditional Irish music, this unique experience is not to

Gaiety Theatre

Keane’s, ‘Big Maggie’ until 12th March. Ross O’Carroll-Kelly’s hilarious sell-out hit, ‘Breaking Dad’, returns from 14th – 26th March. Alfred Hitchcock’s, West End show ‘The 39 Steps’, runs from 29th March – 2nd April. Song & dance extravaganza, ‘That’s Entertainment’, runs from 4th – 9th April. John B. Keane’s, ‘The Matchmaker’, returns, due to phenomenal demand, from 11th – 23rd April. New comedy stage show, ‘Mario Rosenstock Live’, runs from 26th – 30th April. Broadway and West End sensation, ‘Driving Miss Daisy’, makes its Irish premiere throughout May. Harold Pinter’s, ‘The Birthday Party’, runs from 30th May – 4th June. ‘God Bless the Child – First Confessions are the Hardest’ running 6th – 11th June. The international phenomenon, Riverdance, returns home 14th June – 28th August. ‘Celtic–The Musical’ makes its Irish debut 20th – 24th September. The Gaiety Theatre also hosts the Dublin Theatre Festival in early October and Ballet Ireland’s annual performances in November. This years traditional Pantomime is ‘Robin Hood and his Merry Men’.
