Kinnegar pairs brewing tradition with a contemporary
sense of adventure to produce clean, crisp, full-fl avoured
beers. The beer is brewed and packaged at K2, a state-ofthe-
art facility in Letterkenny, County Donegal, just up the
road from the brewery’s fi rst home in Rathmullan. While
the clinking of bottles coming off the line now no longer
mingles with the bleating of sheep from the surrounding
fi elds, the farmhouse ethos at the core of what Kinnegar
does remains unchanged. Unfi ltered and unpasteurised,
the beers are carbonated naturally during fermentation.
Amongst an extensive range of styles, Scraggy Bay
(IPA) and Limeburner (Pale Ale) are household names;
Rustbucket (Rye IPA), Big Bunny (NEIPA), Black Bucket
(Black Rye IPA), Yannaroddy (Porter), Swingletree (Saison)
and Olan’s Tart (Apple Sour) are also hugely popular.
Tours take place on Thursday evenings in July and August, and at other
